RI Flow-Bot — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
RI Flow-Bot is a browser extension that helps a Rotary club copy a service project it has
already saved on the Rotary Zones India website (rizones45678.org) into Rotary
International's Service Project Center (spc.rotary.org). This policy explains exactly
what data the extension handles and how it is protected.
The short version
RI Flow-Bot runs entirely in your own browser. It does not have a server of its own, and it
never sends your information to us or to any third party. Your My Rotary sign-in is stored
encrypted on your own computer and is used only to sign you in to my.rotary.org.
Information the extension handles
- My Rotary sign-in (email/username and password) — entered by you once, so you
don't have to re-type it each time. It is encrypted and saved only in your browser's local
storage on your device. It is decrypted only to type into the official My Rotary sign-in page.
- Project details you are transferring — the title, description, location, date,
funding, beneficiary counts, volunteer hours and photos of the project you chose to add. These
are read from your Rotary Zones India account and held temporarily in your browser only for the
duration of the transfer, so they can be filled into the Service Project Center form.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share any of your data.
- We do not operate a server that receives your credentials or project data.
- We do not track your browsing, your tabs, or your activity on other websites.
- We do not show ads or use your data for advertising or analytics.
Permissions and why they are needed
- Access to rizones45678.org, my.rotary.org, spc.rotary.org — to read your saved
project, sign you in, and fill the Service Project Center form. No other sites are accessed.
- Storage / unlimited storage — to keep your encrypted sign-in and to hold the
project's photos on-device during a single transfer.
- Tabs — to open the Service Project Center in a new tab and know when it is ready.
- Notifications — to show you the status of your own action (e.g. "form filled,
please review").
Third-party requests
To convert the project cost from Indian rupees to US dollars, the extension fetches the current
exchange rate from a public currency-rate service. This request asks only for the public exchange
rate and contains none of your personal or project data.
You stay in control
RI Flow-Bot fills the Service Project Center form and then stops at the review step. It never
submits or publishes anything on its own — you review the project and click Publish yourself. You can
remove your saved sign-in at any time from the extension's popup, or by uninstalling the extension.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new "last updated" date.
